Weddings are a natural fit for certain elements. But what about fabric? We’re loving the idea of incorporating interesting fabrics into your big day, and a good place to start? Those usually-boring groomsmen ties. One of our editors worked with the ever-talented Elise Bergman to amp up the typically staid neckties with Liberty of London fabrics.
If you haven’t heard of Liberty of London as of late, you must have been living under a rock (or just ignoring all things not related to your wedding… hey, we get it). The British company, known for their woven, vintage-y textiles, recently collaborated with Target, MAC Cosmetics and even hot shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood. While we appreciate the accolades, we’re mostly just loving Liberty of London’s gorgeous, super-soft fabric designs. A new collection comes out each season, filled with hundreds of options — from modern patterns to lovely florals reminiscent of days gone by — in dozens of colors.
While the fabrics can go for more than $20 a yard, using them in small, chic ways (like for those groomsmen ties and pocket squares, for fabric pennants or even for fabric-flower boutonnieres) is so Bride-Buzz.
Contact Elise and let fabric into your big day!
