The words cashmere and wedding gown aren’t often used in the same sentence. But for Italian designer Anna Viero, whose namesake line of cashmere goods is made from the most exclusive yarns, the two are a match made in heaven.

With more than 50 years experience — and a charming studio tucked away in the province of Vicenza, Italy — Viero creates bridal gowns that reflect the romance of the region. And for an area that boasts the hometowns of Romeo and Juliet, you really can’t get much more romantic than this (think hand-formed peonies that bloom at the shoulder and long, dramatic capes).

Although the unconventional material might lead some to turn up their nose (at first, we did, too), the result is truly enchanting, offering the bride-to-be a unique gown that breathes well and hugs at just the right places.
