About

Bride Buzz’s editors are three of the most style-obsessed journalists and working brides around. After years of working at glossy magazines and websites, and even spending a bit of time on the small screen, we decided to join our creative, wedding-loving forces to launch Bride Buzz, a website and email blast featuring our daily picks for the hippest, sweetest and most inspirational items for brides (and grooms) to-be, in January 2010.

Let our bridal obsession become your big-day inspiration.

Meet the team:

Kate Templin Stahl, Founder/Editor

Kate has loved all things wedding related (fashion, flowers, paper products, etc) since she was a little girl, and that love turned into a full-out obsession while she was planning her own July 2010 wedding in Bloomington, Indiana. The theme: modern whimsy, complete with custom invites and programs, thousands of paper fans, streamers, hanging poms and balls and even a personalized paper cake topper featuring Kate, her fab husband, Ben, and their adorable dog, Gus. (It was pretty spiffy, if she does say so herself.) Kate, who also works for a website owned by Sugar Inc., is a former editor at Chicago Social, Michigan Avenue and DC magazines, and she started her career at O, The Oprah Magazine. Originally from Lafayette, Indiana, Kate received her undergrad degree from Indiana University and her Master’s from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism. She lives in Chicago with her husband and dog and her rapidly expanding baby belly.

Korey Karnes Huyler, Editor

The non-girly Korey became obsessed with all things wedding related when she planned her 2009 nuptials. She and her husband Ryan were married in Korey’s dream spot: The Beaver Creek Chapel in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and had their reception at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. After the wedding, Korey couldn’t stop looking at bridal sites, so she partnered with Kate and Graham to let her passion turn into a profession. In addition to working on Bride Buzz, she continues to work in her day job as editor-in-chief of Chicago Social magazine. Korey started her career in New York City with stints at both CosmoGIRL! and Seventeen magazines and also worked briefly at Time Out Chicago. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska (go Huskers!), and attended UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad and Northwestern for grad school. She lives in Chicago with her husband and her new baby girl Elizabeth. Her next goal? To launch Baby Buzz!

D. Graham Kostic, Founder/Editor

Unlike Kate and Korey, Graham is not married or with child, but he loves to love, so it was without question when two of his favorite former co-workers asked him to partner on Bride Buzz that he happily accepted. And with five years under his belt as Style Editor of Modern Luxury Magazines, producing fashion forward content for their 12 glossy monthly titles as well as their Men’s and Brides publications, and two years as Creative Director and Host of the web video magazine Glossedandfound.com, Graham knows a thing or two about good taste. Born on the East Coast and raised in the Midwest, Graham recently decided to move back east, recently settling in the South End of Boston to take on the role of Art Director at RueLaLa.com. The best part about Boston? Living with his boyfriend Francis who coincidentally also happens to be his best friend. Funny how it worked out like that.
