Bridal baubles with a heart
We’ll admit it: Engagement rings aside, pricey accessories have never really been our cup of tea. Family heirlooms are fab, but you’ll rarely find us dropping the equivalent of a month’s rent on a pair of earrings — even for our own wedding days.
(clockwise from left) Rees earrings with labradorite; Williams bracelet with freshwater pearls, discs and filigree clasp; Head necklace with freshwater pearls and discs.
That’s why we’re smitten with the new bridal collection from Give a Penny Designs. Created by Atlanta-based jewelry designer Mary Kelly (who’s planning her own big day in May), the line features sweet, natural-looking pieces for you and your bridal party — think rock crystal and gold wire earrings and monogrammed disc necklaces — starting at around $40 and discounted depending on how many you’re purchasing. Kelly also recently launched her spring bridal line, and we’re loving her labradorite Rees earrings and the freshwater pearl and filigree Williams bracelet.
What makes the pieces even sweeter: Kelly donates a portion of all trunk show sales to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in honor of her best friend, who’s survived 10 years since she was diagnosed with leukemia.
Now those are baubles we can get behind.
